A Morning Prayer from a 4th century Christian
By Keith Goad August 26, 2008
At dawn, I raise my hand in oath to God:
I shall not do or praise the deeds of darkness.
Rather, this day shall be my sacrifice;
I shall remain unshaken, rule my passions.
My age would shame me, if I were to sin,
As would this alter over which I stand.
Thus my desire, my Christ: you bring it home!
